Only in Oldham would a BBC-funded Local Democracy Reporting Service piece in the Manchester Evening News promote a convicted heroin dealer and cop killer’s getaway driver as an election candidate while whitewashing the record instead of scrutinising power.
Facts even the MEN previously published have been quietly removed. They include;

• A jury-rejected defence recycled as truth.
• Aggravating details vanish.
• Proven links skimmed over or severed completely.

All with public money. All during an election.
