WHEN PREDATORS HUNT & POLITICIANS HIDE

WHEN PREDATORS HUNT & POLITICIANS HIDE

Why our elected cowards choose career preservation over child protection

On July 13, a ten-year-old girl was walking with her father in Stockport when a predator allegedly tried to snatch her from the street.

The man accused, 30-year-old Sudanese asylum seeker Edris Abdelrazig, was arrested and charged with attempting to kidnap a child. He had been living in a nearby asylum hotel. But what happened next tells you everything about the moral bankruptcy of our so-called leaders.

Nothing. Absolute silence.

Andy Burnham, the Greater Manchester Mayor who never misses a photo opportunity, vanished. Stockport Council and its leaders, supposedly there to protect local families, said nothing. The local MPs who knocked on doors promising to be the voice of their constituents? Gone without a trace.

As parents in Stockport wondered if their children were safe, as taxpayers questioned how someone housed at public expense could allegedly target their kids, these cowards hid behind their desks and hoped the story would disappear.

I've seen this playbook before. I've watched it destroy communities from Rotherham to Rochdale, from Telford to Oldham. The same institutional cowardice, the same calculated silence, the same betrayal of the people they swore to serve. And always, always, when the cases involve asylum seekers, Muslims, minorities or migrants, the silence gets even thicker.

Just days earlier in Warwickshire, we discovered that police had told councillors to hide the fact that two men accused of raping a 12-year-old were asylum seekers.

This isn't about one incident in Stockport or one cover-up in Warwickshire. This is about a political class that has lost its moral compass so completely that when predators target our children, their first instinct isn't to protect - it's to calculate.

  • How will this look?
  • How can we spin it?
  • How many votes is it worth?
  • How do we make this go away without mentioning the asylum hotel?

Let me tell you what actually happens when you choose silence over truth.

  1. You don't prevent anger - you guarantee it.
  2. You don't stop division - you create it.
  3. You don't protect communities - you abandon them to the wolves.

And make no mistake, there are wolves circling.

The parents of Stockport deserved the full truth. They deserved to know that someone housed at public expense, in a comfortable hotel in their area, allegedly tried to snatch their child. They deserved leaders who would stand up, speak out, and show they gave a damn about both child safety and public accountability.

Instead, they got the same tired playbook of silence, spin, and institutional self-preservation that has failed community after community.

This isn't governance. This isn't leadership. This is moral cowardice dressed up as political strategy, and it's destroying the very communities these people claim to represent.

The children of Britain deserve better than leaders who run when they're needed most. And the taxpayers funding these asylum hotels deserve honesty about what's happening in their name.

Every day Andy Burnham stays silent, every hour the leaders of Stockport Council refuse to speak, every moment these local MPs hide from their constituents, they're sending a message louder than any statement they could make.

That message is simple: your children don't matter enough to risk their careers.

They'll fund the hotels. They'll process the paperwork. They'll smile for the cameras when it suits them. But when an asylum seeker is charged for hunting a ten-year-old girl on their streets by someone they housed, they'll run faster than the predator they enabled.

This isn't just political cowardice anymore. This is complicity through silence.

The truth about the Pakistani Rape Clans in Britain isn't a far right bandwagon. It's a national shame involving over 100,000 children and a cover up of a kind never before seen in the United Kingdom.

For those new to me, I'm Raja Miah MBE. I spent six years leading a small team that exposed how politicians protected the rape gangs.
