Meet Will Holdaway, Freelance Journalist, Editor, and One-Man Media Empire

A "freelance journalist" called Will Holdaway contacted me through my website. He says he's launching a new Oldham news site called Oldham Owl. No byline. No publication history. No editorial address. A Gmail account.

He describes himself as a freelance journalist. He is also, apparently, the founder of the publication he is contacting me on behalf of. So he is a freelance journalist commissioning himself. For a website that does not exist. With a Gmail account.

His questions are not one that a genuine journalist would start with asking. They are the actions of an attack dog. Nobody launching a local news site arrives at that framing alone. This is desperation. Just read the last one - 'Has Crowdfunder required any update or clarification under its transparency rules?' As if I am doing something wrong by raising funds to fight a court case.

As for what happens if we win. If you know me, and you do know me, you will know that should we succeed, I most certainly will not become a slum landlord with a portfolio of HMOs and be seen driving around in a Ferrari like the politician that now wants to be council leader in Oldham. Nor will you see me cruising around in a Bentley with a convicted heroin dealer as our last council leader. You already trust me enough to know what I will do with the money should we succeed.

Unfortunately for Mr Holdaway, He and his kind have all failed to stop us. As of today, we are just under £90,000. I suspect it is this that narks them the most. The level of support I have.

3,227 ordinary people from across this country have so far raised £89,524 to hold Jim McMahon MP to account in the King's Bench Division. We have retained John Samson of Hatton Chambers, one of the leading defamation barristers in England and Wales. The letter before claim has been sent. His lawyers have been put on notice. The litigation is coming.

To every single person who donated. You did this. Not me. You. You looked at a Labour MP who thought he could smear me with impunity and you said no. With an attack dog asking questions through a contact form, you are not just saying no. You are laughing at him.

Jim McMahon and his allies have thrown everything at stopping this. Arrests. False charges. Smear campaigns. Parliamentary speeches. Front page attacks. Over the past eight years, all of it has failed. The world now knows the truth of the Pakistani Rape Gangs.
