This Is Who Really Runs Our Towns And Labour Wants You Too Afraid to Say It

They Sacrificed Our Girls, Flooded Our Streets With Heroin, And Now Consider Themselves Untouchable

In the places I come from, the silence on matters that matter locally from Pakistani Labour Party politicians speaks volumes. Just as they’ve turned a blind eye to the grooming gangs from within their communities that targeted and gang raped working-class White girls, they also have very little to say about the heroin trade that’s tearing apart the very communities they claim to represent.

We can debate, if you like, the personal relationships between some of these politicians and members of rape gangs. But what cannot be denied is their proximity to organised crime.

Consider this: just hours after Arooj Shah was re-elected as Leader of Oldham Council, her press team released an official photograph. In it, Shah, one of Keir Starmer’s most senior council leaders and Chair of the Labour Party’s National Constitutional Committee, sits beside her convicted money-laundering brother.

Behind her is one of the most notorious Pakistani gangsters in the country - a violent, drug-dealing criminal who was imprisoned for his role as the getaway driver for the cop killer Dale Cregan. The career criminal Mohammed Imran Ali. Street Name - Irish Immy.

This is not shocking to those of us who’ve lived with it. It’s the same pattern across towns and cities nationwide. Where you find an over representation of Pakistani politicians, you also find their gangland associates embedded in the local power structure. And where there’s been an influx of these networks, you’ll find the rape gangs.

And when someone does speak out? That silence becomes a wall of noise with accusations of racism, Islamophobia, and far-right sympathies. Working-class White people who dare to question what’s happening in the places they call home are demonised. Their concerns are dismissed, their reputations shredded. And brave voices within the Pakistani community, those who want this criminal rot exposed, face threats, ostracism, and violence.

So is this racist?

No. What’s racist is allowing poor Pakistani children to grow up under the shadow of gangsters who run their communities with fear. What’s racist is allowing little White girls to be gang raped, trafficked and then abandoned because the men responsible tick the wrong political boxes. What’s racist is abandoning entire towns to criminal capture, just to protect a narrative that serves the Labour Party’s interests.

In truth, in towns like Oldham, the Labour Party is little more than a front. The real power lies with the people behind them - the enforcers, the gangsters, the untouchables.

And everyone knows it.

The truth is out. The world is watching. And justice is coming.

I’m Raja Miah MBE. For six years, I led a small team that uncovered what the state tried to bury: that politicians actively protected the rape gangs.
