THEY TRIED TO PRICE THE TRUTH OUT OF EXISTENCE
How Oldham Council's lawyers threatened me with ruinous legal costs, then quietly walked away when challenged.
Forget Alexander Bougatef's threat of an injunction. The injunction was never the real threat. The prospect of bankrupting me was the threat, and everything else in Browne Jacobson's letter was scaffolding around it.
Carry on campaigning against the Council's cover up of the Pakistani Rape Gangs and we will make speaking cost more than you can survive.
The machinery worked like this. Stop making a list of statements. Refuse and an application goes to Court "without further notice." If an injunction is granted and breached, then I would face criminal prosecution as well as the legal costs of their lawyers.
I wrote back and asked who had authorised it.
The reply came on 14 September 2023 at 6.33 in the evening, from the Legal Services account, copied to every councillor in Oldham. Alexander Bougatef. He confirmed instructing Browne Jacobson.
"Regarding costs, should the matter proceed to Court the Council will seek to recover all costs from yourself."
He signed it Alex.
Read that line knowing what Alex knew. He knew I had been on police bail since the dawn raid of July 2021, more than two years by then. He knew one prosecution had already been withdrawn at Tameside Magistrates without a shred of evidence tested. He knew the surviving charge had failed to reach trial twice because the prosecution could not manage its own disclosure. And he knew where his council sat during Operation Hexagon, at the Gold command table, while I was the target.
The criminal courts had failed to deliver a conviction against me. The repeated police dawn raids had failed to stop me. So the council went shopping for a different court, one where the standard of proof is lower and the loser pays.
He never had to write how much. He knew what defending High Court proceedings against a national firm costs, and so did I. Over one hundred thousand pounds. Oldham Council would pay with your money. I would pay with mine, except there was no mine. Two years on bail had seen to that, and the people who put me on bail knew it better than anyone.
That is what makes the costs line what it is. Keep talking and we will take whatever you have left. All I had left was my home that I shared with my at the time 8 year old daughter.
And the talking they wanted stopped? That Shabir Ahmed, ringleader of the Rochdale grooming gang, was on Oldham Council's payroll, in a job with access to children. A public body threatened to bankrupt a campaigner for saying that.
For 8 years I've exposed how politicians and police covered up the gang rape of working-class White girls by Pakistani grooming gangs. I, with the support of the people of Oldham, led the campaign that forced the National Inquiry. Now, with your help, we will force this inquiry to a place it does not want to go.
As Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham fronted a series of Assurance Reviews of which one was in my hometown of Oldham. It was a cover-up of a cover-up. It tried to bury the truth. Don't believe me? Ask Maggie Oliver. Even she has come to the same conclusion.
Despite Burnham's efforts to help hide what took place, we forced a national inquiry. Whilst previously defending the robustness of his now exposed cover up, Burnham is now trying his best to rewrite the truth of what he really did.
Unfortunately, as of yet, the national inquiry will not investigate Burnham or his actions and his deceit will go unchallenged. We hope to change this before the investigation starts in Oldham.
Once Burnham is in Downing Street, the pressure to protect him will be immense. The institutions that failed these girls will try everything possible not to hold a PM accountable. Much of the press will look away, as always. This is why it is up to us to carry the truth.
Which is why I'm turning this community of readers into something more than what I can manage on my own. We need to grow.

I explained to an 8 year old child, the best I could, that we may not be able to live in our home for much longer. I then told Bougatef, his rape gang protecting council, and their lawyers to bring it.
They never issued the claim. The deadline expired. I kept campaigning, and nothing followed, no application, no injunction, nothing. Eight months later the last criminal case against me was abandoned when prosecutors offered no evidence, which is how every allegation this Labour Party run town ever threw at me ended.
So when you wonder how it is we got to a national inquiry, think of a father explaining to his eight year old daughter what was happening to tens of thousands of children and why it was important that her father stand up to bullies like Alexander Bougatef, even if it meant we would lose our home.
Now, if you can, explain to me why it is that not one mainstream media outlet dare interview me. And once you have got to the same place so many others have, perhaps you will understand why we must have our own platforms so that we are able to share our own truths.
