The Inquiry Will Only Find What It Is Forced to Find

The National Inquiry Is Only The Next Step To Justice

Securing Bradford's place in the national inquiry only delivers justice if the inquiry is forced to confront the cover-up. Not the abuse alone. The cover-up. The same is true in Oldham, in London, and in every town yet to be announced.

A statutory inquiry has real powers. It can compel documents. It can summon witnesses and put them under oath. Institutions cannot lawfully refuse it. But powers only matter if they are used, and an inquiry only uses its powers on the questions it chooses to ask. Its scope is set by its terms of reference. Its local investigations are chosen against selection criteria drafted by officials.

The people who spent decades burying the truth do not need to withhold the evidence. They need the inquiry never to demand it.

I have read the Local Area Investigation Selection Criteria. I have analysed the terms of reference. An inquiry can compel every document in a council's archive and still deliver a whitewash if it only asks about the abuse and never asks about the decisions.

  • Who knew?
  • When they knew?
  • What they chose to do?
  • Which investigations were shut down, and on whose instruction?

Those are the questions that convict institutions, and an inquiry avoids them unless the evidence is already public and impossible to step around.

That is what Bradford taught me this week. Multiple articles. The convictions, the survivors, the institutional record, the names. If you follow my work, you have seen it. And the response told me something I should have understood sooner. The public need this. Not scattered across court reports and buried council minutes, but assembled in one place, in plain language, for the people who live there.

So I intend to go further. A fact sheet for every town the inquiry names. A single public record of what took place, who knew, and what they did to bury it. A document the inquiry has to reckon with. It tells ordinary people the truth of their own town, and it leaves Baroness Longfield and her team as little room as possible to avoid the evidence. Every fact sheet published is pressure on the national inquiry. Pressure it cannot acknowledge and cannot escape.

I cannot do this alone. This work takes weeks per town. Court records, archived reports, survivor testimony, council minutes, the paper trail institutions hoped no one would ever assemble. I spent eight years doing exactly this in Oldham. It forced a national inquiry into existence. Now that inquiry has to be forced to do its job.

If you want your town or city investigating, contact me. Right now. Tell me where you are and what happened there.

If you believe this record should exist, become a paid subscriber today. Every fact sheet is funded by ordinary people. No institution pays for this work. That is why it can be done.

The truth, town by town, city by city. Before they bury it again.

The stories that expose them are the stories they tried and failed to imprison me for sharing.

Eight years in and over 2,000 new sign ups to my newsletter in the last month alone. Even the mainstream media blacklist has failed to censor this campaign. Millions now know the truth of the rape gangs, and who covered up what took place.

What comes next is the National Inquiry, and forcing it to go where it does not want to go. The only way to do that is pressure. We got it this far. Now help push it further, to a place where politicians are forced to testify. That includes the Prime Minister.

My name is Raja Miah. I led the campaign that helped force the National Inquiry. I need your help to make sure it is not a whitewash.

My ask of you is a simple one. Please follow my work on Facebook and take a minute to sign up to and subscribe to my newsletter Red Wall and the Rabble.

Help force a reckoning of a kind this country has never before seen. Follow this page and sign up to the newsletter. Let them see our numbers and fear the days ahead. Should we succeed, politicians will go to prison.

I’m Raja Miah MBE. For eight years, I led a campaign that exposed how senior Labour politicians helped protect Pakistani rape gangs. The people of my town helped force the national inquiry.

You won’t see me on the BBC. You won’t read my work in the legacy press. That’s not an accident. I take this to a place from where there is no coming back.

I document everything in my newsletter. It’s 100% free to read. If this work matters to you, if you believe it must continue, I need your backing.

My work is free. No paywalls. No gatekeeping. No exclusions. Because the truth shouldn’t belong only to those who can afford it. If you can afford to do so, supporting me costs as little as 75p a week (£30 a year).

If you can’t commit to a regular subscription, a one-off contribution genuinely helps keep this alive. You can support me using one of these links;

We’re up against a machine, politicians, police, officials, and media, working together to shrink, sanitise, and bury the truth. This work survives because of you.

If you’ve ever shared my posts, learned something, or felt less alone reading them, stand with me. I need your help.
