Has Burnham Got The Balls To Stand?
Andrew Gwynne is About to Resign. Is Andy Burnham Coming Back.
Reports suggest the Gorton & Denton MP will quit today, clearing Burnham's path back to Westminster. The media are treating this as routine political manoeuvring. Leadership ambitions, electoral arithmetic, Westminster games.
What they refuse to discuss is what Burnham actually did in Manchester. Seven years presiding over managed rape gang reviews and institutional protection. Seven years of sympathy without accountability. Seven years of covering up those responsible for the cover up.
If Burnham thinks he can return to Parliament without answering for that record, he's wrong.
An Open Challenge to Andy Burnham and the Media Protecting Him
This is a direct challenge to Andy Burnham and to the journalists helping clear his path back to Westminster.
Burnham wants to return to Parliament. Position himself for Labour leadership. The polls show him ahead of Starmer as preferred Prime Minister. The path is being prepared. But first he needs to answer for what he did in Gtr Manchester. And the journalists smoothing his way need to explain why they refuse to ask the obvious questions.
Burnham's Pakistani Rape Gang strategy was Silence and Managed Reviews
Burnham's defenders will point to his words. His statements about victims. His declarations of seriousness. His commitment to learning lessons. This is nothing but spin. Words mean nothing. Decisions matter.
Burnham commissioned reviews. Safe, managed, scope-limited reviews. When they were published, he went quiet for years. Only when this scandal exploded globally did he suddenly discover the urgent need for a national inquiry.
Why the long silence after his own reviews? Because he hoped it would all blow over? If so, this strategy has so far worked.
- No institution faced real legal jeopardy.
- No senior figure faced criminal scrutiny.
- Time passed, public attention moved on, campaigners got exhausted.
Seven years Burnham had authority in Greater Manchester. Seven years and not one person in power faced consequences. Why?
Why the Media Won't Touch This?
Political journalists are treating Burnham's return like the coming of a messiah. Look at today's coverage of Gwynne's resignation and how they are salivating over the King of the North.
They won't touch the timeline. His decision-making. His contradictory statements. Why seven years failed to interview one rape gang survivor. Why not a single public official, police officer or politician has been held to account
They know exactly what they're doing. Examine Burnham's record honestly and he stops being a leadership contender. He becomes what he actually is. A case study in how Britain's establishment helped cover up the industrial scale gang rape of the nation's children.
Escaping Accountability
Burnham's return to Westminster isn't about representing Gorton & Denton. It's about escaping accountability. Moving from local responsibility to national abstraction. From concrete failure to manageable politics.
The standard British establishment playbook. Don't remove the people who preside over cover-ups. Promote them. Give them bigger jobs. Let time and distance do the work. Rely on journalists to forget what actually happened in exchange for future access.
Name The Time & Place Burnham
Burnham should publish everything. Every decision, every timeline, every piece of evidence that informed his choices. He should explain his 2 1/2 year silence. Justify the managed reviews. Account for the complete absence of accountability. He should, if he has the courage to do so, stop hiding behind his keyboard and meet me in public.
He won't do any of these things because he knows he is neck deep in the cover up. He also knows that the establishment media is actively protecting him and will continue clearing the path. Why else are they all pretending Burnham's role in the rape gang cover up doesn't exist?
Not only will events, over the coming months, determine Burnham has the courage to stand, we will also learn whether covering up the Pakistani Rape Gangs is career ending or a qualification for higher office. It will also show, if there was any doubt, just what role the establishment media really plays in modern day Britain.

My work is free because the truth must circulate. But truth without numbers is easy to crush. The government does not fear facts. It fears scale.
Andy Burnham and the Labour Party fear thousands reading, sharing, and backing my work because numbers mean witnesses, pressure, and consequences. That’s why I am blacklisted by the legacy media. That's why they attack me the way they do. That's why this matters.
