And Where Are The Voices We’re Told Will Always Defend Women?

When Protecting Terrorists Matters More Than Protecting Women
Where is Jess Phillips, who never misses a chance to grandstand about violence against women when it suits the narrative? Where is the Safeguarding Minister for Women & Girls now?
We know the answer. It’s the same answer we’ve seen before. When the victims were working-class White girls in northern towns, raped and trafficked by Pakistani rape gangs, even though Phillips admitted she had known what was going on for 14 years, she blocked a public inquiry. Why? Pakistani men were the wrong type of perpetrator.
And now, when the rapist is a convicted terrorist who arrived here through the asylum system, we hear nothing again from Jess Phillips. Why? We know why.
The message is clear. Some rapes are politically useful, others are not. Some predators are condemned, others are conveniently ignored. And in this hierarchy of outrage, women’s safety is sacrificed.
For those of you coming late to this, Abdelrahmen Adnan Abouelela is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He fled Egypt after he was given a seven-year jail sentence as part of a terrorist bomb-making cell. We housed him in a Hilton Hotel. In return, he raped a woman in Hyde Park. And yes, the authorities knew who he was and of his terrorist links.
You'd be a fool to think that Abouelela is the first or last Islamist terrorist to enter the United Kingdom as an asylum seeker. Or that his views towards women in the UK is anything out of character with the hundreds of thousands like him that have arrived.
Care to comment Jess? Maybe even do your job? Nah, thought not!
